Much of obesity has a genetic influence. Genes encoding for the body’s production of and response to the protein leptin play a major role in the regulation of body weight. Leptin functions as part of a signaling pathway that can inhibit food intake and regulate energy expenditure to reduce adipose tissue. This protein is also involved in the regulation of immune and inflammatory responses. LeptiGen is formulated to influence genes that normalize leptin production and response to assist with fat loss and reduce inflammation.
